Overcome the Pain of Learning Failure by Using the Principles of Educational Therapy in Your Home

Is your child with ADD, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities or other special need suffering in school, falling behind, or giving up?  Do you suffer too—are you despondent, frustrated, or overwhelmed?  Not many parents have heard about educational therapy and its power to bring out special needs students’ brilliance and change their lives.

Educational therapy has three important components:
• Using specialized programs and methods that help students ameliorate the learning problems that hold them back
• Teaching skills and concepts using a student’s strong abilities while circumventing a child’s learning weaknesses; and
• Focusing on defeating special needs students’ greatest foe—learned helplessness—the belief that they are stupid and can’t learn.

Dr. Kari Miller,  will share with parents:
• Why the techniques of educational therapy support students’ growth
• How parents can bring the techniques of educational therapy into their own homes and classrooms
• How focusing on parenting (and teaching) style is the key to guiding special needs students to academic, and life, success
