Three unique problems students who experience repeated difficulty have with learning…

  • Students who experience one failure after another in school don’t have the underlying skills to be successful students. They often don’t know the best study methods, how to manage their time, or how to evaluate their choices and make better choices. Our Educational Excellence approach teaches students the foundational skills they need to excel as students.  We identify students’ learning roadblocks, no matter what they are, and address them head-on.
  • Children are unique and each learns in his or her own way. Teachers and tutors usually do not understand how to modify their approach to address different learning styles. Children who’ve had difficulty in school require unique teaching approaches in order to master the concepts of their school curriculum. Our Educational Excellence approach provides this differentiated instruction in the core disciplines of reading and math and teaches students how to comprehend textbook reading in social studies and science.
  • When students experience failure after failure, they develop a mindset that they are “stupid” and “can’t learn.” This is referred to as “learned helplessness” and it is the reason students continue to struggle. The greatest asset successful students possess is the deeply held belief that they are strong students. Without this certainty, students “hold back” from full participation in academic tasks. They give school a half-hearted effort, they resist studying, and they develop a superficial understanding of concepts.  We reach students on a deep level to show them they can be successful.
